GMDC is recognised by the Government of Grenada, the NCFMEA, and the WFME as the authority for accreditation of medical education programs.

Steps to Become Accredited
- Apply for authorisation from the Government of Grenada
- Apply for candidacy from GMDC
- Submit documentation of continuous enrollment for 10+ years
- Submit an institutional self-study
- Submit a complete data collection instrument (DCI)
- Cooperate with GMDC site visitors
Accreditation Period
Initial: 5 years. Subsequent: 8 years. Schools take about three years on average.
