Common questions about registration and licensing

Who needs to register with GMDC?+
All medical and dental practitioners intending to practice in Grenada must be registered and licensed by GMDC.
What is the difference between registration and licensure?+
Registration is one-time. Licensure is renewable every three years with CME proof and practice insurance.
What documents do I need?+
Complete the GMDC application form with all supporting docs in English or certified translation.
How does it work for international applicants?+
Must comply with Grenada's migration and labor laws. Without CME certificate, a work permit is needed.
Do volunteers need to register?+
Yes, with temporary licensure. Council may waive fees for free services through the Ministry of Health.
How often must I renew?+
Every three years with proof of continuing education and practice insurance.
